Lyme Disease Association Affiliates
Affiliates: Separate 501 (c)(3) organizations affiliated with LDA California Lyme Disease Association (CALDA), Formerly known as Lyme Disease Resource Center, CALDA is a non-profit corporation that acts as the central voice for all tick-borne disease issues in California and a supporting voice for national issues. Through advocacy and education of the public and health care professionals, CALDA seeks to prevent tick-borne diseases, encourage early diagnosis, and improve the quality of health care provided to people with tick-borne diseases. They publish the Lyme Times, an internationally acclaimed lay journal reporting the latest developments in the Lyme disease world and providing valuable information and resources to the public and healthcare community. www.LymeDisease.org

Harford County Maryland Lyme Disease Support Group The Harford County Lyme Disease Support, Inc was organized in October, l995. It is an all-volunteer, 501 (c) 3 non profit organization dedicated to providing support to patients and promoting awareness and education for the public and health care professionals. We actively sponsor outreach programs and also provide educational materials for schools, parks, businesses, organized events and the general public. The HCLDSG works with local, state and federal government officials in order to advance Lyme disease education, research and funding. We serve residents in Maryland and surrounding states. Lyme disease reported in 46% of responding households in Pocopson Township Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. (LDASEPA) An all-volunteer, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people suffering from Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and preventing new cases through education, support research, and public information. We hold monthly meetings on third Wednesdays and hold one or two special seminars every year. See our website www.lymepa.org for details. We have recently reprinted "The Basics" fourth edition with a generous grant from the national Lyme Disease Association. To date, over 120,000 copies of earlier editions have been distributed nationwide. "The Basics" has proved to be a big hit because it presents technical information about Lyme disease is a way that is easy to understand. Many doctors offer copies to their patients to aid in their education. People may obtain a free copy by visiting our web site at www.lymepa.org. Multiple copies of "The Basics" are available at cost. Lyme Disease Network of New Jersey (LymeNet) www.LymeNet.org provides links to many current News and Press Release articles; a discussion board to ask questions, to post comments, ask for local Lyme doctors, or to ask for advice from other Lyme patients; and a list of local support groups. Mid-Shore Lyme Disease Association The Mid-Shore Lyme Disease Association’s mission is for education, outreach and advocacy regarding Lyme disease. It meets in Easton, Maryland. Email for further information scenic@dmv.com Minnesota Lyme Action Support Group The Minnesota Lyme Action Support Group, a non-profit corporation, was founded in April 2006 by Anne Myre, a resident of Scandia, Minnesota. Anne has struggled with Lyme disease and its co-infections since 1984. She reached out to help other Lyme patients in her community through the news media, the Internet and a support group created web-site but primarily her message was spread via word of mouth. The support group has over 100 members from Minnesota and Wisconsin. The group meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at Hosanna Lutheran Church, located at 9300 Scandia Trail, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Through monthly support group meetings, speaker programs, community education presentations and fundraisers, the support group provides a forum for increasing the public’s awareness about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Lyme Disease Association The Texas Lyme Disease Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation organized under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act and registered with the Texas Secretary of State. We are an affiliate of the Lyme Disease Association. Our mission is to educate physicians and the public about Lyme Disease and other tick-borne diseases, to be a resource center for patients with these diseases and their families, and to provide a network of support for the same. We also support medical research on tick-borne diseases. All donations to the Texas Lyme Disease Association are tax-deductible and will be used solely for the educational and research purposes allowed us by the U. S. Internal Revenue Service. Time for
Lyme (TFL) Originally Greenwich Lyme Disease Task Force, TFL and LDA have worked together closely on issues of federal legislation and the ongoing formation of the Lyme Disease Center at Columbia University. The groups have partnered in fundraising efforts for the center. TFL is very active in Connecticut, meeting with state and federal officials and distributing educational materials. It has produced an educational video for use in the schools which is available for sale and it has raised significant funds for Lyme disease research through high profile fundraising events which have included a number of celebrities. TFL has established relationships with school officials and has sponsored many forums for educators and fore the public. Lyme Association of Greater Kansas City Inc. (LAGKC) The non-profit Lyme Association of greater KC serves the Missouri and Kansas areas to provide support for patients with tick-borne disease, monthly meetings (except Nov.), information on Lyme/Lyme-related disease(s), presentations on Lyme disease to community groups and a monthly newsletter to members.
